Nanhuizui Sea View Park
At the southeastern end of Shanghai, there is a place where lovers go stargazing. Nanhuizui Sea Park is about an hour’s drive from downtown. Far from the glare of the city’s neon lighting, the park is considered the perfect place to look at the stars, gaze at the Milky Way and remember the story of the Weaver Maiden and the Cowherd, whose romance is why we are celebrating Qixi, the day dedicated to lovers.
Drive along the seawall and go deep into the park, and you will marvel at the brilliant stars against the dark sky. If you are lucky enough to come across a shooting star, don’t forget to make a wish and seal your vows of love.
In summer, it is a good place to camp out and enjoy some romantic interludes. There are also many hotels near the park if you forget the time and stay out too late.
