Registration open for international marathon in Guangdong

An international marathon will be held in December in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, the organizers announced on Wednesday.

Runners are required to register for the event beginning June 30, with those having already participated in the four sessions to be directly selected in this year's event, according to the organizer.

The event will include 30,000 international and domestic runners, which will be selected in a lucky draw by August 10.

The Guangzhou marathon, which was inaugurated in 2012, includes a full-length event, a half-length run and mini-marathon with 5 kilometers.
