Chengdu Tianfu New Area will develop in a pattern of “one belt, two wings, one downtown area and six quarters.”
Chengdu Tianfu New Area is a major component for opening the Chinese inland areas to Europe and other parts of Asia.
These parts cover three cities, seven counties and 37 townships.
Liu Qibao, secretary of Sichuan provincial Party Committee, said that Sichuan would plan and construct the Chengdu Tianfu New Area at the working conference of Sichuan province. The conference was held on Sep 1 and 2 of 2010 and was part of the West China Development Strategy.
