SICIP delegation visits Taiwan for IP education exchanges

A delegation of Shanghai International College of Intellectual Property (SICIP) visited Chuang Hua University (CHU), Feng Chia University (FCU), Shih Hsin University (SHU) and Soochow University (SCU) in Taiwan for intellectual property (IP) education exchanges and communication from June 20 to 24.
Discussions about IP training and academic exchange in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative were launched between the delegation and CHU experts. Meanwhile, situations of IP protection and policies related to innovation and entrepreneurship in Chinese mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao were introduced by the leader of CHU Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center.
Furthermore, the two sides of FCU and SICIP deeply explored the ways and prospects of collaborative talents training. An expert from SHU introduced Taiwan’s IP development situation and its IP talents training mode to the delegation. SCU and SICIP also exchanged and communicated on related IP development situation on Taiwan and the mainland China.
“We should make full use of our language and cultural advantages. Intellectual property is as important as science and technology. We must fully utilize this opportunity and make our own contribution to the development of intellectual property and the cultivation of talents on both sides of the Strait”, said Gao Chengshu, the chairman of FCU.
Communications and exchanges between SICIP and these Taiwan universities were successful and resulted in many cooperation and consensus.
