Renaissance opens in Nanjing

By lindsay andrews (China Daily) Updated: 2016-01-16 08:35

The chic Renaissance Nanjing Olympic Centre Hotel, the first Marriott hotel in the Jiangsu provincial capital, opened its doors on Saturday.

Coco Wen, general manager of the hotel, said every stay at a Renaissance hotel is a chance for discovery and that the brand prides itself on offering "everything you expect in a slightly less expected way".

Conveniently located in the Hexi business area in Jianye district, and adjacent to the Nanjing Olympic Sports Center and the Nanjing International Expo Center, the hotel offers easy access to upscale shopping malls and the vibrant restaurants and bars of Hexi.

But guests will find there's no need to leave the hotel in search of something to tempt their taste buds. There are four food and beverage outlets in the hotel that cater to all tastes: international fare offered by the Food Studio; selected Huaiyang cuisine and local specialties by Wan Li Restaurant; the patisseries of Pixie; or the canaps, cocktails and craft beers of R Bar.

The hotel offers 251 well-appointed guest rooms, including 19 luxury suites, all of which combine comfort with connectability. High-speed Internet access, along with a spacious work desk and ergonomic leather chair cater to work needs, while luxurious bedding and a separate bath tub and rainforest shower will aid relaxation.

There is also a spa and fitness center with an infinity pool.

For weddings and meetings, the hotel features over 2,300 square meters of event space on a single level and eight tech-savvy meeting rooms, all equipped with state-of-the-art audio visual technology, including LCD projectors and built-in screens.

Renaissance Hotels is a lifestyle brand within Marriott International's global portfolio of 18 brands. With its motto of "Live Life to Discover", Renaissance Hotels aim to provide today's business traveler a unique guest experience through design, services and unique programming inspired by each destination's locale.
