The roundtable conference on regional cooperation in the eastern part of Northeast China was held on Aug 9 in Hegang city, Heilongjiang province. The Dandong delegation, led by Dai Yulin, Dandong Municipal Party Secretary, attended the conference.

Dai briefed the recent economic and social developments in Dandong as well as the challenges and opportunities facing the city. He proposed several suggestions for strengthening collaboration among cities in the eastern part of Northeast China in the fields of development planning, logistics, tourism and port traffic.

Dandong also signed collaboration agreements with Mudanjiang city and Hegang city in Heilongjiang province, as well as Tonghua city of Jilin province during the conference.
