On May 16, the Shanghai Pudong Development Bank Dandong Branch officially opened to the public. It is the 14th bank in Dandong, Liaoning province.

Affiliated with the Dalian branch of Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, it is the first nationwide joint-stock commercial bank branch set up in Dandong after the city was listed as a core city in the Liaoning coastal economic belt.

The bank has signed cooperation agreements with the Dandong Banking Regulatory Bureau and local enterprises such as the Dandong Port Group. It also, together with the Dalian Jinchen Group, donated 500,000 yuan to the Dandong municipal education bureau as an education fund.
