Peach blossoms in full bloom in Hekou

On May 5, the "Yalu River Spring"—Hekou Peach Blossom Festival opened in Kuandian of Dandong, northeast China's Liaoning province. The sea of flower in the Hekou scenic spot attracted a large number of tourists.

The peach blossoms are in full bloom one week in advance because they are free from any injuries caused by the cold and thanks to the rapid rising of temperature. The flower blooming period will last ten days, three days longer than previous years.

During the festival, a series of activities will be held, including a peach tree planting event, a self-driving tour, a network peach blossom photography show, and wedding photos in the romantic peach blossom park.

Last weekend, there were nearly 100,000 people appreciating the peach blossoms. A total of 300,000 people are expected to see the beautiful scenery during the festival, reaching a record high in terms of tourist numbers.
