On April 26, 2012, a large number of migratory birds arrived at Yalu River Mouth National Wetland Nature Reserves, an important habitat for migratory birds in Dandong, Liaoning province.

From the middle of April to the end of May of each year, millions of migratory birds travel from New Zealand and inhabit in China.

Wild bird experts, bird activists and travelers over the country gather at the nature reserves for study and appreciation.

To provide a secure and quiet environment for the birds, marine police have been arranged to reinforce the safety of the wetland nature reserves, leaflets have been distributed to tourists and protection of the local ecological environment has become a priority.
