A Donggang delegation took part in the 7th International Strawberry Symposium held in Changping of Beijing on Feb 17, 2012. The strawberries of Donggang won praise at the symposium.

Themed "health, development and sharing", this symposium was held in an Asian country for the first time. The symposium consisted of academic meetings, exhibitions and investment consultation conferences. It attracted over 1,000 academic representatives from 66 countries and regions and more than 200 enterprises from home and abroad.

During the symposium, Donggang municipal leaders exchanged views on the development of the strawberry industry and shared research experience on strawberries with experts from Eurosemillas S.A. Many experienced professionals thought highly of the strawberry industry developments in Donggang of Dandong, Liaoning province.

At the symposium, the fresh, full and sweet strawberries left visitors and experts with a lasting impression. Several businessmen reached cooperation agreements with enterprises of Donggang during the symposium.

Donggang also prepared 30 varieties of strawberries to take part in the 7th China Strawberry Cultural Festival and Haidian District Strawberry Competition. They received three gold medals and one silver medal.
