Fengcheng No 1 High School, in the Liaoning province city of Dandong, was awarded the title of "Excellent Student Source Base of Tsinghua University".

At the invitation of Tsinghua University, school leaders attended the 2012 Meeting discussing Pre-examination Recruitment Policy of Tsinghua University. As the only county-level high school, Fengcheng No 1 High School was awarded with the title of "Excellent Student Source Base of Tsinghua University", thus obtaining the right to recommend students to Tsinghua University in 2012.

As many as 10 high schools in Liaoning province have won the title, including Northeast Yucai High School, Liaoning Experimental High School and Dalian No 24 High School.

There are 221 high schools in the nation with the qualification to recommend "excellent" graduates to Tsinghua University in accordance to relevant recommendation policies of the University.
