Dandong launched first 15,000-ton working ship

With a length of nearly 100 meters and more than 10 thousand KW total installed power, the working ship is the largest full hydraulic cutter-suction dredger in Northeast China.

The launching ceremony of the 15,000-ton displacement working ship was held at Dandong shipbuilding base on Oct 12.

With a length of nearly 100 meters and more than 10 thousand KW total installed power, the working ship is the largest full hydraulic cutter-suction dredger in Northeast China. The super-large all-gyration tugboat which has entered the closure process is a multi-functional tugboat with the most horsepower and complete function in the northeastern region, providing services mainly for the entry and departure of large large-tonnage ships.

The two working ships ended the history of importing large-scale ships in Dandong, marking the enhancement of Dandong's shipbuilding capability.

The Dandong shipbuilding base is also a project of biggest investments and benefits in recent years in the city's port industry. It has completed the construction of the 50,000-ton slipway, the main plant and ancillary facilities in the past several years.

With the launching of the working ship and the tugboat on the slipway, other related coastal industries will also achieve new progresses.
