Seven Taicang-based startup companies were honored as "2019 Young Tech Titans" by the municipal industry and information technology bureau on July 9.

The assessment of young tech titans showcased the city's high hopes for regional small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Taicang, a county-level city of Suzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, is home to more than 130,000 industrial enterprises, most of whom are burgeoning SMEs.

These young enterprises are expected to play bigger economic roles in terms of the city's growth stability, employment rate, and market vitality.

"Winning the assessment is a milestone for us," said a spokesman for Tonggao Advanced Manufacturing Co. "We will double down on quality control and brand promotion, trying to make a good example of ourselves."
