Shanghai International Marathon

Starting in 1996, the annual Shanghai International Marathon has become one of the most anticipated events in the city. This year, about 35,000 runners will attend the gala on Nov 2.

In addition to the full 42.2-kilometer marathon, a 21k half-marathon, 10k fun run and 5k health run will be held on the same day to cater to runners of all abilities.

All of the races will start at Chen Yi Square on the Bund, with the full and half-marathons finishing at Shanghai Stadium in Xuhui District. The 10k run will end at Fuxing Park in Huangpu District, and the health run at Jing'an Sculpture Park.
