A new shopping mall, Chengdu International Finance Square, will open in mid-January. The shopping mall, located in the city's central business district, occupies an area of 760,000 square meters. It brings about 300 luxury, jewelry and fashion labels to central Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province. American artist Lawrence Argent created an installment for Chengdu IFS. The art piece is in the shape of a panda, the symbol of Sichuan province. Named I Am Here, the artwork is 15 meters tall and weighs 13 tons. Many panda-themed artworks by local and international artists will be auctioned at the opening ceremony of Chengdu IFC. All money will be donated to the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda.
