BOOKS: Tattoo girl's past

For more than a decade, Swedish writer David Lagercrantz's fictional character in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Lisbeth Salander, has captivated readers around the world. With the recent release of The Girl Who Takes an Eye for an Eye, the fifth book in the Millennium series, readers can expect to learn more about Salander's troubled past and discover the reason behind her signature tattoo.

The book begins with Salander, a brilliant yet troubled computer hacker, serving a two-month sentence relating to the questionable lengths she took to protect an autistic boy who witnessed a murder.
