Zhang Hexian, 94 years old, lives in Ninghai county, East China's Zhejiang province, and started practicing kung fu when she was four years old. She is best at boxing and clubs and has taught kung fu to hundreds of students.

Zhang met and fell in love with her husband because of their common love for kung fu. When she was young, she was well-known in the village for her defense of the weak against bullies. In her 90s, Zhang still lives a healthy and independent life and passes her leisure time cooking, growing vegetables and sewing, besides practicing kung fu.
