SHANGHAI - Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski arrived in Shanghai Sunday morning to start a state visit to China.
At the invitation of his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao, Komorowski will visit China from Sunday to Thursday.
According to Polish Ambassador to China Tadeusz Chomicki, Komorowski is the first Polish head of state to visit China in 14 years, and Poland attaches great importance to the visit.
During his stay in Shanghai, Komorowski will attend an investment promotion forum and meet representatives from the Chinese-Polish Joint Stock Shipping Company.
The Polish president is scheduled to leave Shanghai on Monday for Beijing, where he will hold talks with President Hu, meet with several other Chinese leaders and attend forums on economy and education.
