BEIJING - Andritria cases, including erectile dysfunction, sterility and prostatosis, have been increasingly reported in China, the China Health Education Center (CHEC) said Monday.
The center, which is affiliated with the Health Ministry, in a statement said the number of reported Andritria cases are growing at three percent annually in China.
Some 26.1 percent of Chinese male adults have ever suffered or been suffering from erectile dysfunction, said the center, citing a survey done in 2003-2008 over more than 2,000 men by the Chinese Medical Association, the CHEC and the National Population and Family Planning Commission.
Over one million men has been diagnosed with male sterility and tens of millions with prostatosis in China, the center said.
The center Monday launched a function to communicate information about Andritria among the public, hoping to improve people's awareness of male health.
