BEIJING - The 11th Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee will hold its 15th session in October, according to a decision reached during a Friday meeting.
The meeting was presided over by Jia Qinglin, chairman of the CPPCC National Committee. During the meeting, it was suggested that the committee should use the 15th session to discuss cultural reforms and the promotion of the development of "socialist culture."
The CPPCC is China's top political advisory body.
The session will also allow committee members to study and discuss the sixth plenary session of the 17th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, according to statement issued after the meeting.
