HARBIN - A mall that sells computers and other electronics caught fire Thursday afternoon in downtown Harbin, capital city of the northeastern province of Heilongjiang, firefighters said.

Witness said the fire broke out at around 2 pm and spread fiercely at the Nantong Computer Mall which houses shops and booths selling electronic products and parts as well as many logistics companies.

It is not immediately known if there were any casualties or people being trapped in the densely populated building.
