Two injured after road accident in Central China

CHANGSHA - Two people were injured, including one in critical condition, after a freight train Saturday collided with three cars, an electric bicycle and a pedestrian in Central China's Hunan province.

The accident took place at a crossing after brake failure of the train around 10 am in the city of Hengyang, said an official with the city's  publicity department.

The two injured, the bicycle rider and the pedestrian, were rushed to hospital. The rider was seriously wounded and still not out of danger, according to the official.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
