A man was lucky to escape with his life after falling on of the rail tracks of a Beijing subway station on Tuesday.

A train was pulling into the station at the time. Fortunately, the man managed to squeeze himself between the rails and the platform as the train passed.

Station staff switched off the electricity and the man was able to climb back on to the platform.
