FUZHOU - Exploding fireworks injured two passengers slightly on Saturday in a ticket office in a train station in east China's Fujian Province.

The ticket office was closed after the blast at 12:15 p.m. at Fuzhou railway station, in the capital of Fujian province, police said.

Two people, including the fireworks owner surnamed Wang, are being treated in hospital for minor burns.

The ticket office reopened at 2:30 p.m..

Police are still investigating the explosion.

Fireworks are banned from being carried on trains in China.
