Foreign food producers are eyeing the Chinese market for more business opportunities as the country increases food imports.

Foreign businessmen attending the 89th China National Sugar and Alcoholic Commodities Fair, in Wuhan, Hubei province, anticipated further expansion of their products in the Chinese market.

China has seen an annual increase of 10 percent in imported food sales over the past few years , with imported goods reaching 63 billion yuan ($10 billion) last year.

Bill Kardamitsis, global market buying director of Genuine Imported Food Chain Stores, headquartered in Australia, said his company is planning to establish several chains supplying wholly imported foods and household products in China.
