Chinese stocks close higher Tuesday

BEIJING - Chinese shares closed higher Tuesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rising 17.83 points, or 0.75 percent, to finish at 2,381.43 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index increased 0.82 percent, or 79.22 points, to end at 9,695.87.
