Currently, there are no graves costing less than 20,000 yuan ($3,171) in the city. Beijing residents are flocking to neighboring regions, such as Hebei province and Tianjin, to purchase graves. On the opposite sides of the boundary river between Beijing and Hebei province, the prices of similar graves vary widely.
