A total of 37 medical workers from Taicang, a county-level city in Jiangsu province, set out on Feb 9 to help in the fight against the novel coronavirus pneumonia outbreak in Wuhan, Hubei province.

The team consists of doctors and nurses from Taicang First People's Hospital and the Taicang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

This is the fifth medical team Taicang has dispatched to Wuhan, and the rally took less than two hours.

"Knowing the situation out there, every one of us is prepared to leave home and fight on the frontlines where medics are needed most," said Lu Bing, leader of the 37-member medical team.
