What they say
In fact, the younger generation in Hong Kong has made outstanding achievements in the Bay Area. For instance, our drone technology has taken the lead in the world. So, we should do better in social promotion and education, so that more young people understand how they can grasp Bay Area opportunities.

Lo Wai-kwok, Hong Kong SAR legislator and chairman of the Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong
I've been a firm believer in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. I think it's a brilliant idea. The outline is the first step. The meeting on Thursday morning will be the next step. Then there will probably be a few more meetings asking people to give their recommendations.
For myself, I am thinking of setting up a Bay Area fund, similar to a regional investment bank, which could fund startups and young talent who have a good business idea but have problems raising capital. It may encourage more people.

Allan Zeman, chairman of Lan Kwai Fong Holdings
The Bay Area blueprint will bring tremendous opportunities for the convention and exhibition industry in Macao. Possible practices may include holding conventions on the same topics concurrently with other cities, like the Macao International Aerospace Forum being held during the Zhuhai Airshow in November.
The GBA also provides a huge hinterland for Macao's convention and exhibition industry. We have seen some Macao companies set up subsidiaries in Zhuhai and Shenzhen to expand their service networks. Meanwhile, the companies in the GBA may use Macao as a gateway to make forays into the international market.

Alan Ho, president of Macao Convention and Exhibition Association
The future direction HKUST will take is in line with the development objectives set for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The operation of HKUST's Guangzhou campus will provide useful experience for other higher education institutions, both in Hong Kong and other cities in the region. I look forward to more concrete policy measures under the development plan of the Greater Bay Area.
