Six new Chinese picture books published in first half of 2017

As the Chinese picture book market is quickly developing, more works from young Chinese illustrators are being published. Some are new creations of traditional Chinese culture, while some are fantasies about a fairyland.

Here are six new picture books published in the first half of 2017, a presentation of illustrators' ideas and imaginations.

Picture Box: Fantasy

Picture Box is a series of picture books featuring works from young Chinese illustrators and writers. Fantasy is the 27th volume in the series, including aesthetic illustrations and stories about mythical animals, plants and fairies.

It was published on June 1, Children's Day and aims to revive readers' childhood imaginations that faded when they became adults.
