Iranian film screening shows China's soft power is immense

The West, led by the United States and its allies, may be in denial that Asia - especially populous nations such as China and India - will brighten this century more than others. Will the colonizers and the economic hegemons of the past learn to swallow not only this pill but their own inflated pride (rather hubris)?

Many books have been written on this theme already.

Yet the world is convulsing through trade disputes and an economic slowdown, when the right thing to do would have been to go back to the basics and recognize that we, the human race, couldn't have reached the 21st century without piggybacking on great civilizations like those of China, India, Iran/Persia, Egypt and Greece.
