From illiterate senior to rising literary star

At the age of 75, uneducated Jiang Shumei started to teach herself how to read and write and she now has five books published
Jiang Shumei recently published her fifth book, a collection of 100 traditional songs, 47 folk tales and 50 of her illustrations.
However, the 82-year-old from Suihua in Heilongjiang province has been illiterate for the majority of her life.
