Taking the idea of facing fears to new, dizzying heights

I was sure I was going to die - not from impact but from fear.
When I again comparably faced my fear of heights years later, four people did die the following day.
But at that moment in 2007, I was rocketing face first toward the water of Qinglong Gorge in rural Beijing with a bungee rope attached to my legs.
