Shanghai to host 2020 League of Legends final

As the League of Legends World Championship final wrapped up on Sunday in Paris, Riot Games announced it will host the next world final at Shanghai Stadium next year. The venue can seat over 56,000. Shanghai is the headquarters of the League of Legends Pro League, China's premier domestic video game league. Over the past year, local authorities rolled out a number of initiatives designed to grow the esports market. The tournament last came to China last year, concluding at Beijing's National Stadium.
