6 held responsible for Wuxi accident

Six people have been held responsible for the collapse of an overpass in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Thursday, police in the city said, adding that the results of an investigation into the incident will be released publicly as soon as possible.

Five of the people held responsible, including the boss of a transport company, have been placed under criminal detention. Coercive measures have been applied to a truck driver surnamed Wang, who is receiving treatment at hospital due to serious injuries sustained in the collapse.

The three dead were the single father of a 16-year-old girl, a female teacher and her daughter, who had just started kindergarten.
