Poll shows students' fiscal sense of duty

BEIJING - Over 80 percent of college students interviewed in a recent survey believe that frugality is an important part of life, China Youth Daily reported.

Of the 1,988 college students surveyed, 87.9 percent think people should be financially prudent, while 83.8 percent claim that they pay attention to their living costs.

Most of the students surveyed managed to keep their monthly living expenses within a reasonable range, with 77.3 percent of the interviewees spending between 1,000 yuan ($140.20) and 2,000 yuan each month.
