FRANCE
Attacker's flash drive held colleagues' data
The Paris police employee who killed four colleagues at the force's headquarters had a USB flash drive with details on dozens of officers, raising fears he intended to pass them to other militants, French daily Le Parisien reported on Tuesday. The newspaper also said it was not clear if the dead attacker, IT specialist Mickael Harpon, had the data on the drive as part of his job or had surreptitiously extracted it. The drive also had several propaganda videos from the Islamic State terror group.
THAILAND
More dead elephants found, toll rises to 11
Wildlife officials in Thailand said on Tuesday that they have discovered the carcasses of five more wild elephants downstream from a waterfall where the bodies of six other elephants were found last weekend. National Parks spokesman Sompote Maneerat said the carcasses were discovered by a drone being used to investigate how the first six elephants plunged to their deaths at the Haew Narok waterfall in Khao Yai National Park.
