It might take a few swings, but after a whiff or two the conversion from tennis to badminton isn't too difficult.

Sure, the shaft of a tennis racket is significantly shorter than a badminton one and the stringed area much larger, which is why your first few badminton swings may have the shuttlecock bouncing in all directions, if you can hit it at all.

It had been 15 years since I last picked up a badminton racket before I began playing again a couple of months ago at Beijing's University of International Business and Economics.
