Forty-two years as a tailor in Beijing is a mere stitch in time for a man who's got the measure of most, whether he's making clothes for a local retiree or the nation's top brass, Du Juan reports.
Li Chuanjun is a high-end tailor, who has devoted 42 years of his life to making quality custom clothing. Now in his 60s, he continues to work in the fashion industry, hoping his craftsmanship will be passed to future generations.
Li, who's from Beijing, joined Beijing Clothing Industry Co, which was founded in 1961, as an apprentice when he was 19 years old.
