Robot at airport speeds up customs clearance

Customs authorities at Zhanjiang Airport in Guangdong province have a new recruit: a multipurpose robot armed with artificial intelligence and topnotch detection technologies. Named Dabai, the robot is able to detect signs of drugs and explosives, provide monitoring in low temperatures, check jewelry and possible chemical warfare agents. It can also interact with visitors, answer inquiries about taxation, policy and exchange rates, and offer multilingual translations.
