CIIE eases procedures for media registration

Media registration for the second China International Import Expo opened online on Friday. The registration system (media.ciie.org) will be accessible till Sept 30.

When registering for media passes, foreign journalists traveling to China to cover the event need to specify "foreign media organization" in the media organization category, and select "foreigners for temporary stay in China" when entering their personal information.

After signing up online, the system will generate a confirmation letter for foreign journalists to apply for a J-2 visa at Chinese embassies, consulates or visa agencies authorized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in their countries.
