Biz: Tsinghua, Peking alumni among richest
Tsinghua University and Peking University in Beijing have the Asia-Pacific region's second - and third-largest ultra-high-net-worth graduates respectively, according to a report released by wealth information provider Wealth-X. An ultra-high-net-worth individual is defined as having a net worth in excess of $30 million. The National University of Singapore occupies the top spot in the region. The graduates and wealth in this category from Tsinghua University are 74 and $103 billion respectively, while those of Peking University are 67 and $116 billion. Although the National University of Singapore, which has 102 alumni with $14 billion in wealth in this category, leads the Asia-Pacific, it is ranked 21st in the world.
