Rankings: Provinces show dramatic growth

Yunnan province posted the strongest GDP growth among the provinces and regions, climbing 9.2 percent year-on-year in the first half of this year, according to official economic data. GDP growth in 15 provinces and regions was higher than the national growth rate of 6.3 percent, namely Yunnan, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Fujian, Anhui, Hubei, Sichuan, Henan, Shanxi, Hunan, Zhejiang, Hebei and Jiangsu provinces, the Ningxia Hui autonomous region and Guangdong province.
