Couple injured after videoing approaching train

On July 28, a couple suffered serious injuries after standing too close to an oncoming train in Guangdong province. They wanted to shoot a video of the train passing behind them but were too close to the track despite the driver using the horn and trying to apply the brakes in time. When a train is moving at a high speed, the velocity of air increases, which means the pressure decreases, sucking people into the path of the train. Many social media users called their actions "stupid". "Are you really ready to die for a video?" was one comment among many criticizing the pair.
