In the WeChat age, will tooth fairy deliver or bite the dust?

Alice, a 9-year-old girl who recently moved with her family to China from the United States, had an interesting question for her mother just before bedtime the other night.
"Mummy," she said. "Is there a tooth fairy in China?"
"I think so," her mother answered. "Why?"
