July 14 was the most nerve-wracking Sunday of my life

July 14 - guess it must easily rank as the most nerve-wracking of the 2,662 Sundays in my life so far. And I want to accept only part of the blame.

For much of my misery, I'd like to blame globalization, technology, sports governing bodies, fickle human nature, even the so-called X factor.

I can blame myself for choosing to watch or track online live sporting action from three different iconic events. Coincidentally, the F1 British Grand Prix, the 2019 men's cricket World Cup final and the Wimbledon men's final were all happening on the same day. Action started late afternoon (Beijing time) and went on till the wee hours of Monday.
