Electronic companies post higher revenue

Revenue of China's electronic manufacturing industry and software industry exceeded 16 trillion yuan ($2.3 trillion) in 2018, said industry authorities. Wang Xudong, president of the China Information Technology Industry Federation, said that last year, the electronic manufacturing industry obtained 10.6 trillion yuan in revenue, up 9 percent, while the revenue of the software industry reached 6.3 trillion yuan, with an increase of 14.2 percent compared with last year. From January to May this year, revenue of the software industry saw an increase of 14.7 percent. China's electronic information industry is currently being transformed and upgraded, but there is still a long way to go to achieve high-quality development, Wang said.
