People: Bride-to-be helps cancer patient

A 24-year-old woman canceled a wedding-photo trip with her fiance to donate bone marrow at the First Affiliated Hospital of Suzhou University on Tuesday. Tao Siyue, a kindergarten teacher in Kunshan, Jiangsu province, was informed by the Red Cross Society of China that she was a match with a leukemia patient. She immediately agreed to donate. She and her fiance had the week planned to take wedding photos in Xiamen, Fujian province, but they canceled the trip after Tao got the phone call. Tao's hematopoietic stem cells were transported to the patient's hospital.
