Travel: Qingdao beer festival to raise a glass

The 29th Qingdao International Beer Festival will take place in Qingdao, Shandong province, from July 26 to Aug 18. This year's festival will offer more than 1,400 types of beer from around the world, including top brands like Heineken, Russell, Er Boqueron, Carlsberg and Jeju as well as China's premium brand of Tsingtao. On Monday, 16.2 metric tons of beer were cleared for import from Germany for the upcoming event. The festival, held in the coastal city of Qingdao, the birthplace of Tsingtao beer, received 6.2 million tourists last year.
