A new lease of life

Yunnan's drug addiction rehabilitation program uses an integrated approach that combines physiological monitoring, recovery counseling and vocational training.

A 42-year-old, alias Li Ming, takes part in an addiction treatment drill at a rehabilitation center in southwestern Yunnan province in late June.

The drill simulates a range of social situations and collects data on Li's physiological responses which they use to develop a rehabilitation program based on his needs.
